Hello, 2026 ✨

It’s wild looking back at past years. The hustle, networking, chasing bookings, filling the calendar a quarter at a time.

Now the year has barely turned over, and most of my weekends are already booked.
I’m letting myself feel good about that. As performers, we all work toward some version of this. It's real nice.

For those who are interested, my goals are pretty achievable. I need some easy wins this year, and overachieving can be nice too.

Most importantly, I'm just trying to be a better creature than I was last year.

Do you ever get that fuzzy wave of nostalgia looking at photos or videos from childhood?

I wonder if I'll feel that way about these in 20 years.

This year started out really heavy.
But it feels like it's ending with a lift, the kind that carries momentum into 2026.

I love and hate what this year brought, but I'll hold it tight because it's all important.

No.
I'm manually counting out and logging miles, because I didn't back up my maps app when I updated my phone.

While that is entirely frustrating, it is nice to think about all the neat cities I visited this year, the people I've met, the folks that made a point to return and support a show.

Times be tough. I'm so grateful for the life I've carved out.
I'm going to enjoy the rest of whatever experiences I can squeeze out of this year.

Still reeling from a wild week at @sideshowhootenanny in New Orleans

A full week of shows, workshops, late-night shenanigans, fire, clowns, pasties, sword swallowing, and all the glorious weirdness that makes this community. It's fantastical so much.

As always, I barely took any photos. I was too busy being flabbergasted, inspired, and laughing until I cried with this phenomenal family of carnies I somehow tripped into (both literally and figuratively).

My heart is full and I'm so thankful to be accepted among these folks.
